Upon casting this spell, you \r\ninstantly discern all spells currently affecting the \r\ntarget (including their effects). For each spell so \r\ndiscerned, you can make a dispel check (1d20 + your \r\ncaster level, maximum +15) against a DC of 11 + the \r\nspell's caster level. If the check succeeds, you gain \r\nthe effect of the spell for the remainder of its \r\nduration, as if it had been cast on you instead of \r\nthe original target, and the opponent loses that effect.\r\n\r\nOnly spells capable of being dispelled can be affected\r\n by spell theft. In addition, if you are not a legal \r\ntarget of the spell to be stolen, your dispel check \r\nautomatically fails. For example, if you cast spell \r\ntheft on a dire bear affected by bull's strength and \r\nanimal growth, you could steal only the effect of the \r\nfirst spell unless you were also of the animal type.","jsondata":"","tags":"D&D 3.5e, d20 SRD, Spell, Arcane, Abjuration, 5th Level","templateId":"4833","blockId":"1457799","world":"81a2343d-b71e-4be1-8b90-a629519d0ed1","folder":"26405","isShared":"on"}
