A Halloween Week Jaunt Through the Feywood
As a fun way of celebrating Halloween Week within the World Anvil Community, I thought I would take a stab at running a live-stream session of an Adventure in the World of Cartyrion. So... consider this an invitation! I've already got two ASC folks who have expressed interest; I'm looking for a few more.
This will be a "one-shot" adventure, taking 3 to 4 hours to complete (if everybody stays focused, that is!). My intention is to stream it... preferably with all participants on camera, although that is not a strict requirement. I don't know what day - or time of day - other than "some time in the week before Halloween", but definitely not ON Halloween. Once I've got a roster of players, we'll all work that out together.
The adventure will take place in the Feywood, a region of my Cartyrion world. If you followed me throught Summercamp, you'll have a taste of the region and world already. The game session will be played using Pathfinder 2nd edition rules - but if you are not familiar with this system, don't let that stop you! The adventure you will be playing - The Unfortunate Traveller - has (hopefully) been designed to be an introduction to not only the World of Cartyrion, but also to the Pathfinder rule system.
5 players would be ideal, but 4 will do. I will have 15 pre-generated characters (I'm stealing the 15 characters from my playtest groups!), so nobody has to worry about building a character. All classes and races from the Pathfinder 2E Core Rulebook are represented (no "Advanced Player Guide" options here... we're keeping it simple.) Players will be allowed to select from the available list in the order thtat they sign up to play. There are no requirements for party composition - we'll try it with whatever you end up with.
If time permits, I may try to get a FoundryVTT environment running for this. Or we may use the Roll20 setup that I've already got... Or we could go pure "theater of the mind" and just do this without a VTT. The WA campaign management system will be used in any event - at least for handouts, character sheets, etc. Again... final decision on this will be made after talking with the players.
Because we are all in such disparate timezones, it may be that a finally decided time won't work for somebody, so anybody that expresses interest will be put on a list in the order I get your contact. I'll go down that list in order if times don't work out for somebody. (So if you are interested, but there are already a bunch of names on the list ahead of you, sign up anyway -- there may be drop-outs.
To sign up, just leave a comment on this article expressing your interest. Signups are open until October 17th, 2020.
DMStretch and moonflower_writer were the first two to express interest. They cought me planning this on a Twitch stream and signed up before I even got this article finished!
