Weapon Finesse, Light, Range, Thrown Very Rare
This ornate, masterfully crafted dagger features a cockatrice motif on the handle with a small ruby set in to one of the monster's eyes. The other has a place for a matching ruby to rest but it is missing, suggesting the weapon has been tampered with. Grooves along one side of the blade are reminiscent of tiny reptilian teeth, perfect for channeling poison along. Especially peculiar for a dagger is a small flintstrike where the thumb rests. Once per round this dagger can deal an additional 1d4 poison damage OR 1d4 fire damage. Additionally, with any successful strike the user can choose to attempt to petrify the target. The target must succeed on a DC 14 constitution saving throw or be incapacitated. They will repeat this saving throw at the end of their next turn. If they succeed, the effect ends. If they fail a second time, they are Petrified. This can only be attempted once per long rest.
