The Power Bus is an interface installed on the body somewhere that accepts standardized power cells. The power cells are used to increase the power available for other implants, allowing people to install more implants than the body can really sustain. Since these cells need to be exchanged on a monthly basis, the bus must be installed in an accessible location. The power cells are about 2 cm long and 1 cm wide, and thus the bus is just slightly larger than that and covered by a transparent cover. One can see how much of the power cell remains by looking at the small display on the bus itself, or if one has a
NeuroBus installed, the power readout can be read neurologically, or even displayed on a HUD in an ocular implant.
