Mortuumusis [mor-TOO-moos-iss]

Weapon Finesse, Magical, Returning, Versatile Legendary (this item requires attunement)

Also simply known as "the Glowing Spear", Mortuumusis is the finest mortal recreation of the spear wielded by Mortuumus, the deity governing the balance over life and death. Decades of metalworking, both mundane and magical in nature, have gone into the creation of this relic of a foregone age. Despite the many embellishments along the haft and the head, the weapon is designed, first and foremost, as a weapon, namely against the undead.   Mortuumusis is a +1 spear with the Finesse and Returning properties. It deals an additional 1d8 radiant damage on a hit. Against undead, Mortuumusis becomes a +3 weapon and deals an additional 3d8 radiant damage. Additionally, if a successful attack with Mortuumusis reduces an undead to 20 HP or less, it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be destroyed immediately.   While attuned to Mortuumusis, the wielder also gains the following properties: -You gain the cantrip spare the dying. When using the cantrip, it gains a range of 30 ft. -You can cast the raise dead spell without needing material components. Once you have done so using this ability, you cannot do so again for seven days. -You have advantage on saving throws caused by undead.
