Spellcasting. The archon casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components & using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 19, +11 spell attack bonus):

  • At will: Aid, Ceremony (as an action), Continual Flame, Detect Evil & Good, Protection from Evil & Good
  • 3/Day each: Banishment, Dispel Magic, Heal, Remove Curse
  • 2/Day each: Greater Restoration, Hero's Feast, Raise Dead
  • 1/Day each: Resurrection


Aura of Menace. As long as the archon doesn't have the incapacitated condition, each creature of the archon's choice that starts its turn within 20 feet of the archon must make a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature has the frightened condition until the start of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature is immune to all archons' Aura of Menace for 24 hours.

Magic Resistance. The archon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Penance Stare. When a creature that can see the archon's eyes starts its turn within 30' of the archon, the archon can force it to make a DC 19 Charisma saving throw if the archon isn't incapacitated & can see the creature. If the saving throw fails, the creature suffers the following effects based on their alignment:
  • Unaligned or any Good Alignment: The creature is stunned until the start of the archon's next turn.
  • Lawful Neutral, Neutral, or Chaotic Neutral: The creature takes 10 (3d6) psychic damage.
  • Any Evil Alignment: The creature takes 21 (6d6) psychic damage.

Unless surprised, a creature can avert its eyes to avoid the saving throw at the start of its turn. If the creature does so, it can't see the archon until the start of its next turn, when it can avert its eyes again. If the creature looks at the archon in the meantime, it must immediately make the save.

Actions

Multiattack. The archon can make three attacks with their divine greatsword.

Divine Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, 5' reach, one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) slashing damage, & 10 (3d6) radiant damage.

Teleport. The archon teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, to an unoccupied space it can see within 120 feet of itself.
