Novice of Ezra

The Church of Ezra is one of the most widespread faiths in the Domains of Dread. Ezra is a messianic figure that ascended to godhood to protect the innocent trapped in the Mists, most of her tenents composed through divine revelation to the founders. There are four sects that mostly tolerate each other for the sake of united front against the Legions of the Night, the forces of evil within Ravenloft.

Equipment: A holy symbol of Ezra (a gift to you when you joined the church), a prayer book, 5 sticks of incense, vestments, a set of common clothes, and a belt pouch containing 15 gp

Feature - Shepherd against the Mists

Within the Domains of Dread, Ezra provides her followers with some protection against the Legions of the Night. As a bonus action, you can make your weapons magical until the end of your next turn. For the duration you can also see 30' into the Border Ethereal, though you are unable to interact with any creatures or objects on that plane. You can use this feature a number of times equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down) per long rest.

Use the tables for the acolyte background in the Player's Handbook as the basis for your traits & motivations, modifying the entries when appropriate to suit your identity as novice in the Church of Ezra.
