The muddy waters of the rivers of most of Gavis-Lune, from central and southern Rohara all the way down to the swamp everglades and mangrove forests of Kang-Chorath are home to this most common of the crocodile species. Masterful ambush predators, armored powerful beasts of the bygone age when scaled monsters of all kind ruled the world, they hold on to that power as the last bastion, in most of the known world anyway. | |

Special Abilities | Aggressive: A crocodilian that decides to attack, whether for hunting or in a territorial nature or defending a nest if a female are extremely aggressive and will not be dissuaded or abandon the attack easily. In territorial or nest/young defending cases, if intimidation tactics like the hissing with wide open jaws and bluff charging don't swiftly dissuade an intruder, these tactics will be quickly abandoned and the aggression will become physical with the goal being to kill the intruder. Crocodilians use Strength instead of Charisma for Intimidation checks. Once they decide to fight/hunt, unless the target escapes far enough they cannot be found, or escapes the bounds of the creature's territorial range, they are not likely to abandon the hunt (for those protecting a nest and young, this changes to moving out of sight and scent of the nest/clutch.). To willingly disengage from a confrontation outside those parameters requires the creature to make a DC 15 Will Save. The DC of this increases to 18 if the creature has a fresh kill, babies or a nest, or if it is a male during the the months of Agun to Hova, the normal mating season for most populations. This is simply a pass or fail check, no critical effects.
Armored Hide (2): They have 2 points of Natural Armor, accounted for in their AC on this sheet.
Deep Breath (2): A crocodilian can hold its breath for hours equal to its deep breath trait comfortably.
Ambush Damage Dice: 1d6 Special damage they get to add to any attack they make that qualifies as an ambush (so the target was in some way unaware of the animal's presence and coming attack).
Aquatic Camouflage: When in the water a Snub-nose crocodile has an additional +4 to Stealth rolls (not included on this stat sheet.)
Fluid Sensitivity: Like Tremorsense for water, 30 foot radius +2 to Perception checks.
