The Castle of the Mighty Batch is a quintessential example of a medieval fortress. It is perched atop a rocky outcrop, providing a natural defensive advantage. The castle is surrounded by thick, high stone walls with strategically placed towers, including the prominent keep at its center. The main entrance is guarded by a robust gatehouse, flanked by towers and protected by a moat that, although now dry, would have been a significant barrier in its time. The architecture is a mix of functional defense and imposing grandeur, with battlements, arrow slits, and murder holes evident throughout.
