Armor Crusher: A hyenadon's bite attack ignores AC buffs granted from light and medium armor types.   Keen Smell: The hyenadon has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.   Pack Tactics: The hyenadon has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if it has at least one of the hyenadon's allies within 5 ft. of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.   Rampage: When the hyenadon reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on its turn, the hyenadon can take a bonus action to move up to half its speed and make a bite attack.

Far larger than their mundane cousins, the hyenadon is the fearsome mount of choice for the gnoll warband. Their massive jaws can crush plate armor and when whipped into a frenzy they can outrun even the fastest destriers.

Suggested Environments

Hyenadons prowl savannah and scrublands, occasionally venturing into forests, deserts, and hill countries when pursuing prey. In the wild, they live in small cackles of between five and fifteen individuals.
