Draconic Resistence: depending on the color dragonborn, the medjai gains resistence to one of the following damage types: acid, lightning, fire, poison, or cold.   Metamagic: the medjai can manipulate their spells in the following ways: Subtle spell (3/day): the medjai casts a spell ignoring any verbal or somatic components. Twinned Spell (2/day): the medjai casts a spell that only targets one creatues and doesn't have a range of self, the spell can instead target two creatures in within the spell's range.

Actions

Draconic Breath: Recharges After A Long Rest: Once per day, the Qartagonian wyvernier can unleash a breath weapon attack as an action. The attack's type and shape depends on the color of dragonborn the wyvernier is. Chromatic dragonborn breathe in a line pattern and metallic dragonborn breathe in a cone pattern. When the breath attack is used, all target creatures within the pattern must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a 15 or lower, the target fails and takes 3d6 elemental damage. On a success, the target takes half damage.   Jambiya dagger: Melee Weapon: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 1d4+3 piercing damage.

Usual Tactics

The medjai of the Grand Army of the Dragon act as support units for the more numerous infantry and cavalry. They will cast spells at a range such as fireball and synaptic static to clear large clusters of enemy troops and help infantry units press their advantage.

The Medjai of the Round City are an order of sorcerers based in the city of Qartago. Founded by the leaders of the Bairshezid Insurrection, they seek out Dragonborn blessed with the blood of Kōs or Valdra and train them in the arcane arts. They often serve as peacekeepers and scholars within the Qartagonian Emirates, advising emirs and monitoring arcane activity throughout the realm. In times of war, they are drafted to serve as war mages for the Grand Army of the Dragon, where they are placed under the command of a master medjai and act as support units.   When serving in combat, medjai wear a simple kit comprised of their scholar robes over a practical padded kaftan. All medjai are marked by their two-finger clawrings that serve as arcane focuses. They carry jambiya daggers as a last resort side arm. These are typically muted in coloration, with younger scholars restricted to cream or tan robes. Master medjai robes are black with a striped pattern on the sleeves.
