• Loading. There is a semi-spherical socket in the armor at the base of the neck within which a Spark is suspended, and from which numerous small channels move across the armor's surface, protecting the wearer from radiant and necrotic damage. It can withstand the impact from these magical energies three times, at which point the Spark shatters under the strain, and you must use an action to load a new Spark into the socket.

• Dark Star. Using the Spark's destructive force as a channel, reduce any radiant or necrotic damage you take by 2d8. If both d8 roll the same number, a flash of corrupted luminance sears into your target, and neither you nor the target can regain hit points or have their maximum hit points reduced until the end of your next turn. Additionally the attacker takes an amount of damage, of the opposite damage type, equal to the damage you reduced.

This bronze armor seems immaculate across its surfaces, yet tarnished at its edges. Each plate is framed and engraved with designs of light and withering flowers, some of which serve as channels to carry the bright shadows of a Spark along the armor to shield against the forces of making and unmaking themselves.
