Standing no taller than a hand’s span, the well-like vessel is constructed from interwoven bands of whitewood, seamlessly fused in a manner that defies clear delineation. The outer shell is composed of concentric rings, each ring carefully engraved with minuscule branch patterns that spiral inward, resembling the delicate flow of water currents converging toward a hidden source. The etchings are faint, visible only when the light catches them at precise angles, casting shifting patterns of pale light.   Encircling the upper rim of the well is a beveled lip, its edges lined with fine, incised symbols. The surface is not perfectly smooth but subtly textured, bearing the appearance of something worn by countless generations of reverent touch. Faint traces of thumbprints can be seen upon close inspection, as though the object itself remembers those who sought its healing properties. The lid rests gently atop the well’s mouth and is secured by a twisting mechanism resembling the gnarled branches of a tree. At its center, an engraved image of the Great Tree’s canopy unfolds outward, each line rendered with precision.   Upon removing the lid, the inner chamber reveals a crystalline housing of what appears to be glass but is actually a rare mineral composite, so finely polished that it refracts even the dimmest light. When exposed to natural light, the chamber glows. Within this transparent enclosure rests a single droplet of water, barely anything at the bottom of the well.   The droplet itself is clear but refracts light into subtle hues, creating a miniature spectrum that dances within the confines of the well. Thin, vein-like channels run along the inner walls of the crystal chamber, converging beneath the droplet, giving the impression that the vessel itself is feeding off the water’s presence, as though it sustains the well and, in turn, is sustained by it.   The base of the well is weighted with a polished wooden disc, veined with pale streaks that mimic the branches of a tree plunging into the sky. Inset into the stone is a small, barely visible sigil representing Aurelis’s dominion. The weight ensures stability, preventing the vessel from tipping, as though nature itself refuses to let this sacred item falter.   Its single droplet, when consumed, is said to replenish a body’s life force, restoring vitality through the light refracted within it. The following day, the vessel naturally refills, the droplet reforming as dew does on morning grass—silent, inevitable, eternal.
