Eluryān Ersatz Well

Wondrous Item

Very Rare

As a single round action, drink to gain 30 Mana.   An artifact, masterfully constructed with a delicacy that borders on the ethereal. Its outer casing, crafted from pale white wood harvested from the sacred roots of the Great Tree. These interlocking forms mimic the entanglement of ancient roots beneath the soil, drawing the observer into its subtle complexity. Along the surface, delicate veins of shimmering material run through the carved channels, glimmering faintly.   The texture of the well is smooth, but not polished to the point of brilliance. Instead, it bears the soft undulation of river stones, its tactile surface shifting beneath the fingers like flowing water. The experience of touch is fleeting, never fully grasped. Around its upper rim, faint inscriptions in an old tongue spiral inward, their meaning known only to those who walk the path of true faith.   Peering inside, the inner chamber is lined with a highly reflective, composite material derived from layered minerals, creating a flawless mirror-like interior. The reflection is not merely optical, but it is metaphysical in depth, suggesting infinite recesses beyond the visible plane.   At the chamber’s base rests a single droplet of water, delicate and crystalline, suspended as though held by an unseen force. Around it, vein-like capillaries extend outward, carved into the walls of the chamber. These capillaries faintly glimmer with shifting light, pulsating with the rhythm of thought. When the droplet is disturbed, the light within these veins flares briefly, creating flickers reminiscent of synaptic activity.   The well is weighted by a smooth disc of dark wood embedded in its base, providing stability as though grounding its ethereal nature to the material world. This wood bears an intricately engraved sigil representing Elurias’s dominion over wisdom, reflection, and knowledge.   When consumed, the droplet imparts an immediate sensation of cool stillness, as though the mind is briefly suspended in a liminal space beyond emotion and thought. Clarity follows, flooding the mind like the dawn’s first light on water, cleansing fatigue and renewing mental acuity. By day, the droplet reforms seamlessly within the well, condensing from the ambient essence of the world like dew returning to the leaves of the Great Tree.

"Henceforth, mine children, go ye and grasp dominion in thine own stead, lest ye falter and be naught but dirt for true lords to stand upon in triumph. Rise to the stature of thine names, but shoulst thou falter with unpurpose and unmeaning, let thy name be stricken from every tongue and memory." - The Last Known Words of Eluryās
