Ring: Sunwoven Band (Second Bureaucratic Reformation Period)

Wondrous Item

Uncommon

Increase resilience by 3 when worn.   A work of Raskirinthian craftsmanship, a ring designed during the Second Bureaucratic Reformation. Cast from a blend of gelwed and sinwed, the band has a soft golden hue that is muted by the cool undertone of sinwed beneath it, creating an interplay of light that subtly shifts as the wearer moves. The ring’s surface is etched with a tightly interwoven pattern of branching lines, resembling both branches and rays of light. The interwoven lines are so finely carved that they seem to form an endless loop, drawing the eye along their continuous flow with no discernible beginning or end.   The top of the band is crowned with a small rectangular plate set flush against the surface, engraved with the stylized image of the Great Tree, its branches rising in neat, geometric intervals. Surrounding the engraving, the metal has been polished to a fine matte finish.   The edges of the ring are slightly beveled, ensuring a comfortable fit while creating a clean, architectural outline. Along these edges, thin rivulets of blackened enamel highlight the ring’s structural divisions, giving the impression of a segmented, almost modular design. The enamel lines intersect at sharp angles, creating the illusion of small, interconnected compartments.   Inside the band, a singular inscription is engraved in minuscule lettering, nearly imperceptible unless closely examined. It reads: “Beneath the Sun, all branches rise bowing.” The lettering is blocky and utilitarian. The interior surface is otherwise smooth, its texture honed to reduce wear and friction, reflecting the emphasis on both durability and function. Despite its intricate design, the ring is lightweight.   Over time, some of the blackened enamel has worn away, leaving faint traces like the fading ink of an old ledger. Yet the metal itself shows little wear.

"As the Sun doth reign unyielding o’er the heavens, so doth A bind the world in righteous order."
