Gain 10 holy damage aggravation, and gain 10 unholy damage mitigation. The amulet is a slender metal pendant, roughly the width of two fingertips, shaped in the stylized likeness of a pair of feathered wings converging at their lower tips. Each wing curves inward just enough to create a narrow vertical gap in the center, where the faint silhouette of a blade tip seems implied, but never fully formed. The underlying metal, believed to be a sinwed alloy once prized by Raskirinthian artisans, shows uneven tarnish: the upper layers have weathered into a soft greyish patina with streaks of dull ginelwa, while hidden crevices retain minuscule flecks of a faded sinwed finish. Multiple fine lines and minutely hammered details define the feathers on each side, though entire rows of them are worn almost smooth, testifying to half a millennium of handling. Throughout the central ridge where the two wings nearly meet, narrow inlaid channels—possibly once filled with a gelwed alloy—remain partially visible. These channels trace the shape of elongated pinions. Subtle ridges run along the wings’ edges, each ridge now flattened or chipped, exposing the metal’s slightly darker core. A single hoop-like attachment near the top secures a heavy, antiquated chain composed of elongated links, each link hammered into a slight elliptical form. The chain shows multiple repair points where mismatched metals have been used to patch breaks. A faint ridge circles the amulet’s perimeter, as if once bordered by a thin filigree band that has largely disintegrated or been pried away. The entire piece, though evidently treasured, bears nicks and scratches across its surface, consistent with passing through numerous heirs’ hands. A final detail: the ring at the amulet’s peak, where the chain loops, is slightly bent and flattened on one side."Men do say that Runigel, the first of the Black Knights, was begotten of the Great Tree itself—strong as its ancient boughs, steadfast as its deepest roots."
