You hurl a burst of molten flame at a creature within range. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 6d8 fire damage and is ignited, taking 3d8 fire damage at the start of its next turn. On a successful save, it takes half damage and is not ignited. If the target is already on fire or has taken fire damage since the end of your last turn, it has disadvantage on the saving throw.

At higher levels: At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the initial fire damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 4th.
