Weapon
Very Rare Conjuration
Requires Attunement
- Defer. While attuned to this bow, when you miss with an attack roll, you may roll a new attack roll against a different target no more than 30ft away from the original target. This attack cannot benefit from advantage.
- Higher Standard. When you roll a critical hit with this bow, it pierces through targets. Your attack becomes a line 5ft wide, and 60ft long. All additional creatures who are in the area of effect, other than the original target, must make a DC 15 Dexterity Saving Throw. On failure, each creature takes damage equal to half the damage of the critical hit. On a success, it takes a quarter the damage instead.
- Point of View. When you hit a creature with this bow, you can get a glimpse of its memories and read its knowledge to gain one piece of information it might know, or proficiency in a skill until your next ability check with that skill. The creature must be proficient in the skill you learn from this ability, and you can only have proficiency in one skill from this ability at one time.
- Friend of a Friend. This bow was the last thing left behind by a dear friend... It must be meant to be something to remember him by... right? While Ena is attuned to this Bow, it does not count against the maximum number of magic items you can have attuned at one time.
This stick bow of simple wood, and honestly shoddy construction, is far stronger than it appears. A leather cord wrapped around its arms can be removed to form a snare trap suitable for small animals-- vermin sometimes being the only food available to an urban hunter. On each end, secured by the bowstring, there are a set of pigeon feathers afixed-- irridescent in a way that one can't help but think of the joy found in hard times.
"Stick with me my new friend. The city is a tough place but it has an ecosystem all its own. I'll teach you everything I can before... Well, anyway, the first lesson is how to shoot around alley corners."
