Groundfowl
Groundfowl are Avians that are flight-limited, but known for their vibrant displays and keen survival instinct. Most Groundfowl are also smaller than other Avians.
Limited flight: Groundfowl have a flying speed of 20 feet, and they cannot hover. They can only fly if they are not wearing medium or heavy armor.
Keen sight: Avians have advantage on Perception skill checks that rely on sight.
Talons: Avians deal unarmed strikes with 1d4 slashing damage.
Flare display: Once per long rest, Groundfowl can cause all creatures within 10 feet who can see them to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + Charisma modifier + proficiency bonus) or be distracted (disadvantage on the creature's next attack roll).
