Legendary Evocation Requires Attunement

• Pyrean Steel: While attuned to this weapon, you may spend one minute concentrating to make it take the shape of any simple or martial weapon of your choice. This weapon is made of Pyrean steel, acting as silver for the purposes of overcoming damage resistances.
• Conflagration: Whenever you expend a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, using Wildfire as your spellcasting focus, the blade ignites in primordial flame. This flame is identical to the Flame Blade spell of the same level as the expended spell slot, replacing the weapon's normal damage die, and allowing you to attack with your spellcasting ability instead of strength.
  Whenever you kill a creature with this weapon, you may immediately release this flame in the form of a spell attack, targeting a creature of your choice within 20ft.
  Once you release the flame in this way, these effects end until you expend another spell slot as described above.
• Pyrophytic: While the effects of Conflagration are active, whenever you kill a creature with this weapon, you may instead absorb the flame to cauterize your wounds and restore your vitality. When you do so, regain hit points equal to the same roll you would make for the damage of the spell attack.
  Once you absorb the flame in this way, the effects of Conflagration end until you expend another spell slot as described above.
• Talon: While a Phoenix is attuned to this weapon, it does not count against the maximum number of magic items you can have attuned at one time. A creature cannot be attuned to more than one Talon at one time.

This weapon, like all Talons is made from Pyrean steel, a copper-gold colored metal which is maleable to magic and changes its form to suit its wielder. In times long past, Talons would take any shape at all, yet their combat potency remained the same whether this weapon was in the shape of a sword or a scroll.
