Arc Conduit (Trait, 1/round; player-rolled trigger). Until this trait triggers each round, whenever any creature the Warden can see within 30 feet begins casting a spell, that caster rolls a d6 before the spell resolves. On a 5–6, the Warden’s resonance pulse triggers (no action): the caster must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 5 (1d10) force damage immediately before resolving the spell. If this damage forces a concentration check, that check is made at disadvantage. On a 1–4, no pulse occurs and this trait remains primed for other eligible spells later in the round. The Warden regains the use of this trait at the start of its turn.
Multiattack. The Warden makes two Claw attacks.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) slashing damage.
Aetheric Lunge (Recharge 5–6). The Warden lunges forward, propelled by a burst of internal energy. It moves up to 20 ft. in a straight line and makes a single Claw attack at advantage. If the attack hits, it deals an additional 7 (2d6) lightning damage and the target must make a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone as a surge of electrical force destabilizes their footing.
Magnetic Pulse (Reaction, Recharge 5–6). When the Warden is targeted by an attack from a metallic weapon, it can magnetize its body until the start of its next turn. During this time, all weapon attacks made with metallic weapons against it are made with disadvantage. Any creature that hits it with a melee attack using a metallic weapon takes 3 (1d6) lightning damage, and the weapon becomes magnetically stuck to the Warden until the end of that creature’s next turn. A creature can use its action to make a DC 13 Strength (Athletics) check to free the weapon early.
A smaller, quicker guardian assembled from scavenged machinery and half-functioning servos. Its head is a repurposed crucible lid with a single glowing optic lens. Its limbs are uneven and jointed with cables and torn piston rods, giving it a lurching, insect-like gait. The design seems improvised and chaotic, the result of trial, error, and desperation rather than intent. Its chest cavity hums with unstable power, venting arcs of energy through cracks in its frame.
