Special Maneuvers (AR Variant Only)
Aimed Shot - Fire a single AP III shot with a bonus of +10 to hit as an attack before moving on your turn.
Controlled Burst - Fire a 3-round AP II burst with a bonus to hit equal to your Proficiency Bonus, as an attack.
Special Maneuvers (SAW Variant Only)
Fire Saturation - While an emplacement is set up, you may use this maneuver as a single Attack action. Make a number of attacks equal to your Proficiency Bonus against targets of your choosing. You may choose to make all of these attacks against one target, or several. Fire 2-round bursts for each attack. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until you finish a Short or Long rest.
Set Up Emplacement - Before moving on your turn, while you are behind cover or prone, use your Bonus Action, then spend all of your remaining movement to give yourself Advantage on your attacks for as long as you are stationary, against targets beyond the cover used. You may drop prone without spending your movement to perform this maneuver. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until you finish a Short or Long rest.
Single Target Suppression - Make two burst attacks at a chosen target, but halve the damage after mitigations. The target is Suppressed until the start of your next turn, even if the attacks miss, and you may make a free ranged opportunity attack against them if they fire back at you or leave cover. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until you finish a Short or Long rest.
Special Properties
Armor Piercing I
AP III on Aimed Shot, AP II with a Controlled Burst
Conversion Kit - On completion of a Short or Long rest, you may change the TaRSAS 1T1 to its Squad Automatic Weapon configuration, slightly lowering the fire rate but doubling the magazine size and changing the damage dice to D10's. This enables some of the special maneuvers associated with the SAW configuration. It takes a Short or Long rest to convert the weapon back to its AR configuration.
Loading: Uses a bonus action to fast reload (involves dropping the magazine to pick up later), requires a full action to reload
Jamming: On a critical failure, roll a 1D10, if it is 2 or less, the weapon is jammed and requires a bonus action (D&D5E) or an action point (PF2E) to clear the jam
Handling: 2-handed
The Taala-Rasa Small Arms System is an automatic rifle platform that can be configured either as an Assault Rifle or as a Squad Automatic Weapon - this was done for logistical purposes so that the Taala-Rasa Armed Forces (TARAF) only needed to manufacture one ammunition type. It can be reconfigured with a Heavy Barrel and hopper magazine quite easily. It does unfortunately have a smaller magazine capacity than most other light machine guns while in this configuration but this allows for it to be easier to carry.
