Special Maneuvers
Bouncing Fragments - As an Attack action you fire this weapon in a 60 by 5 foot line. If the line reaches a surface within 60 feet, the fragments will bounce, creating a secondary 30 foot cone, mirroring the angle at which you fired the weapon. All targets caught inside the line and the cone must make a Dexterity saving throw against the Fracture Shot DC. On a failed save inside the line, a target takes 3d8 AP IV Piercing damage and 3d8 Sundering IV Lightning damage and has the Embedded Delayed Explosives effect applied to them. On a failed save inside the cone, a target takes 2d8 AP II Piercing damage and 2d8 Sundering II Lightning damage and has the Embedded Delayed Explosives effect applied to them. On a successful save, a target takes half damage.
Double Frag - Make two attack rolls against a single target within 30 feet without your Proficiency Bonus, dealing 8d6 damage for each successful attack. This counts as one Attack. Once you have used this maneuver, you may use it again after finishing a short or long rest.
Lobbed Fragments - Expend all 5 Aetherion Crystal Fragment Canisters and choose a point within 60 feet. Place 5 45 by 5 foot lines, starting from the point you chose, in directions of your choosing. All targets caught inside the lines must make a Dexterity saving throw against the Fracture Shot DC. A target can only take damage from one of the lines. On a failed save, a target takes 5d8 AP IV Piercing damage and 5d8 Sundering IV Lightning damage, and has the Embedded Delayed Explosives effect applied to them. On a successful save, a target only takes half damage.
Special Properties
Armor Piercing IV
CQC - No disadvantage in melee range on attack rolls.
Heavy Rounds - Does double the rolled damage to Poise.
Embedded Delayed Explosives - Aetherion Crystal fragments are embedded in targets that failed their saves and detonate for 1d8 Fire and 1d8 Lightning damage in a 10 foot radius centered on each target at the start of their next turn. If the fracture cannon's attack hits a vehicle, it embeds 4 Aetherion Crystal Fragments which each deal 1d8 Fire and 1d8 Lightning damage.
Fracture Shot - This weapon's attacks require a Dexterity save. The weapon's DC is equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Dexterity Modifier or Spellcasting Modifier, whichever is higher.
Magecraft Weapon - This weapon is enhanced through magic. Each attack deals an additional +3 damage. Aberrant targets take +6 damage. Inside an MEZ, this bonus does not apply.
Point Blank - Within 5 feet of the user, targets have disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws against the weapon's effects but become the only target affected. This weapon gains Sundering III properties when firing at point blank.
Sundering IV
Volatile Rounds - The projectiles fired by this weapon can be detonated by Thunder or Lightning damage once embedded in a target. They can also be manually detonated by using one of the special maneuvers or reloading.
Loading: Reload two shots as a Bonus Action or reload all shots in the magazine as an Action.
Jamming: On a critical failure, roll a 1D8, if it lands on a 1, the weapon is jammed and requires a bonus action (D&D5E) or an action point (PF2E) to clear the jam
Handling: 2-handed
A magecraft weapon comprised of highly durable extruded wealdstone and metal alloys, the Koleos-designed Fracture Cannon fires high velocity Aetherion crystals that have been altered to the point that they can bounce off of surfaces and burn flesh when they detonate. The fracture cannon can also lob a cluster of Aetherion crystal fragments that act like a cluster grenade, sending rebounding fragments in all directions. The crystal fragments are electrically charged and excited as they leave the weapon's barrel and behave wildly when they strike their intended targets. It is close to a shotgun in terms of how it operates.
