Armor Type: Shield Activities

Lower Shield - As a Free Action, you lower the Full Ballistic Shield. While lowered, the Full Ballistic Shield provides Low Cover and does not hinder your movement or 1-handed attacks.

Place Shield - As a Free Action, you place the Full Ballistic Shield in the ground, propping it up with its kickstand. While placed, the Full Ballistic Shield provides stationary High Cover in a 5 ft. square.

Raise Shield - As a Free Action or as a Reaction, you can raise the Full Ballistic Shield. While raised, the Full Ballistic Shield requires both hands to hold, reduces your walking speed by 10 ft (2 spaces) and provides Medium Cover.

Shield Bash - Prerequisite: Ballistic Shield Training Feat. As an Attack action, you make an Unarmed attack roll, dealing 1d6 AP II Bludgeoning damage plus your Strength modifier on a successful hit and Staggering the chosen target. You may perform this attack as a Bonus Action if it is in your offhand. When you use the Shield Bash attack, you may choose to push the target you attacked up to 5 feet away. The shield can either be raised or lowered when you make this attack.

Shield - Provides varying degrees of cover, as specified in the Activities section. While lowered, this shield provides Low Cover. While raised, this shield provides Medium Cover, advantage on Dexterity Saving Throws against AOE effects, and an Armor Grade bonus of 1.

Special Properties - Prerequisites: Ballistic Shield Training Feat

Full Ballistic Shield - Provides varying degrees of cover, as specified in the Activities section. With the Full Ballistic Shield Training feat, you can operate the shield with just one hand, leaving your other hand free to make 1-handed attacks.

Improved Cover - With the Full Ballistic Shield Training feat, the cover provided by the Full Ballistic Shield is increased by a factor of 1, meaning that while lowered, the Full Ballistic Shield provides Medium Cover, and while raised, the Full Ballistic Shield provides Full Cover. Targets above you do not reduce your Cover by a factor of 1.

Handling: Versatile

A durable, purpose-built ballistic shield that offers better coverage and protection than any other shield. It is also quite heavy and large, despite using advanced materials such as aramid and other polymers. This particular design comes with something like a 'kickstand' where it can be propped up and placed in a chosen location.
