This is a magical +2 longsword, but if wielded by a good-aligned creature it becomes a +3 longsword. It also has the following additional properties:

Track Prey (3/Day). If you wound a creature with an avenger's sword in combat, you can cast the Locate Creature spell to find that creature. The sword can only track one creature at a time, & its abilities do not extend beyond the borders of the dread domain.
Versatile. This weapon can be used with one or two hands. A damage value in parentheses appears with the property-the damage when the weapon is used with two hands to make a melee attack.
Weapon Mastery - Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
