Battlith (Elven)

Weapon Two Handed, Finesse This weapon counts as a polearm for the purpose of weapons feats. Rare

The Battlith is a traditional two bladed Sergal weapon which the Elves adapted for their own use after their war with the Sergal in the Broken Horn Islands. The name comes from the Elven name for the weapon Fallith, while the actual Sergal name for it is simply "Twoblade". The Elven variant has two thin, simple, lightweight blades with minimal or no handguards to allow maximum degrees of freedom. Unlike the Sergal version, the blades can also be separated for easy carrying, which takes a full action (consider the resulting blades two longswords).   The Elven-adapted Battlith has been frequently copied among Humans, although the Mithril core required to keep the separatable blades together makes them rare, or expensive. In Verdon, a Battlith is the preferred weapon of the nobility and an Elven-forged one the ultimate trophy. It is many Blacksmiths' dream to forge a Battlith, and many will attempt to do so for just a token fee as long as the buyer has the Mithril for it.   For the heavy Sergal version (which is cheaper and has fewer features), see Battlith (Sergal).   For an overview of how a Battlith might be wielded by your character, watch this video.
