L'incantatore apre un portale fino all'oscurità celata tra le stelle, una regione infestata da orrori ignoti. Appare una sfera del raggio di 6 metri composta di oscurità e di freddo pungente, centrata su un punto entro gittata, che permane per la durata dell'incantesimo. All'interno di quel vuoto echeggia una cacofonia di tenui sussurri e fauci biascicanti che possono essere uditi fino a 9 metri di distanza. Nessuna luce, magica o meno che sia, può illuminare l'area e le creature che si trovano completamente al suo interno sono accecate. Il vuoto genera una distorsione nella trama dello spazio e l'area è considerata terreno difficile. Ogni creatura che inizia il suo turno nell'area subisce 2d6 danni da freddo. Ogni creatura che termina il suo turno all'interno dell'area deve superare un tiro salvezza su Destrezza altrimenti subisce 2d6 danni da acido inferti da un nugolo di tentacoli lattiginosi e ultraterreni che la sfiorano
