Bright stick
Adventuring Gear Particles inside the Farenne sap emit light when compressed. By distilling the sap, the mixture is more sensitive and longer lasting. If it is not carried in a padded, lightproof pouch, it may become activated anytime a character runs, jumps, or falls. Each day that the bright stick is activate, the player rolls a % die. On a roll 26-100 it functions like normal, 6-25 it dims to half power, 1-5 it lights up and fizzles out for good. Uncommon
A light source created by alchemists, bright sticks are made by infusing a hollow piece of glass or crystal with concentrated Farenne sap. When shaken violently for 5-10 seconds, it will emit enough ambient light to raise the light level by one category in a 30' circle (ie. from darkness to low light, or low light to well lit) for one hour. If a Bright stick is dropped or struck by a hard surface or item it has a 50% chance to break and become unusable. While bright sticks are naturally available in green or blue, other colors are available for a 25% increase in price.
