Det ser ut och fungerar som ett helt vanligt timglas som tar tiden och om man vänder på det så rinner sanden ner. Om man sedan räknar sandkornen så kan man se hur lång tid det har gått. Du kan också om du vill strunta i att räkna sandkornen och bara vänta tills all sand runnit ner. Då har det gått en tid. Om du sedan vänder på timglaset och väntar tills all sand runnit ned igen har det tagit liga lång tid. Det finns också en knapp på timglaset som inte gör något. Om man trycker på knappen när man är attunad så stannar tiomglaset tiden. När tiden står still så står allt still eftersom tiden står still så ingen kan göra något. Eftersom ingen kan trycka på knappen när allt står till så skulle tiden stå still för evigt om inte effkten tog slut efter 2.5 sekunder då tiden startar igen.
