Description
This shield is the shape of a kite, hence the name. A mostly rectangular upper section and a pointed bottom. This shield is usually strapped to one arm and are quite common in the western lands. The shield is made out of laminated wood coverd with stretched animal hides and iron reinforcements. The shield is quite expensive due to having a lot of metal parts. In difference from the buckler and round shield the kite shield is commonly strapped to the arm in one way or another, as opposed to having a single, central handle.
