The Sanctify rune is one of the most popular runes to be inscribed to items. The item to be inscribed is sunk into a vat of blessed water, and the rune is meticulously inscribed into the item over the cause of about a week.   The effect of the rune is that it projects a small area around the object, or the person wearing the item, of sanctified ground. Sanctified ground has little benefit in daily life, beyond making people feel safer.   However, as another effect, sanctified ground works to protect against magical energy. Any witchcraft or occultism will be heavily distorted when exposed to the sanctified ground. The effect is that anyone attempting to throw a spell at or into the sanctified area will be at a +6 difficulty.
