The shoemaker is, surprisingly, the one who makes shoes. In smaller villages the shoemaker may also be the one Cobbling, who repairs shoes and makes new soles, but in busier places, the cobbler may have too much to do to also be making shoes. The shoemaker makes practical shoes for the everyday man. If you're looking for fancy shoes that will stun the nobles at your next banquet, look towards Cordwaining for those.
