The machine releases a completely transparent smog (non-obfuscatory) which emanates from a point chosen by the user within range. The smog spreads to fill an area with a radius of 20 feet around that point.
Roll 5d8, this is the total amount of hit points the smog may affect.
Go through the creatures in the smog, starting with the one with the lowest hit points, each creature falls unconscious for the duration of the spell, or until the sleeping creature takes damage or is shaken/slapped by a creature. When a creature falls asleep subtract their hit points from the total hit points rolled earlier. For a creature to be affected, their hit points must be equal to or less than the remaining total hit points of the smog.
Undead creatures and creatures immune to being charmed are immune.
At higher levels: When supercharged, for each power level above first roll an additional 2d8 for the total hit points.
