Ursine
Age. Ursine mature by the age of 6 and usually live around 180 years.
Size. Ursine are usually bulky, taller than most humans, and heavier than most.
Climb Speed. Ursine have an innate climb speed of 15 ft.
Languages. Ursine, Common
Bite. Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Keen Smell. Due to your acute sense of smell, you gain proficiency in Wisdom (Perception) checks.
Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Subraces
Gwaii Ursine
Ability Score Increase. +2 Any, +1 DexGraceful Climbing. Because of your smaller frame, comparable to other Ursine, your climbing speed increases to 25 ft.
Sitka Ursine
Ability Score Increase. +2 Any, +1 StrengthImproved Bite. Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d8 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Laeus Ursine
Ability Score Increase. +2 Any, +1 ConstitutionDarkvision. Having acclimated to living within caves, your vision has changed. You can see in dim light within 60 ft. of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Hastorni Ursine
Ability Score Increase. +2 Any, +1 CharismaCrowd Pleaser. You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice: Charisma (Persuasion), or Charisma (Performance).
Communal Living. You gain proficiency in one Artisan's Tool of your choice.
Marinus Ursine
Ability Score Increase. +2 Any, +1 ConChild of The Frigid Shelf. Descendant from Ursine who settled to the far north, you gain resistance to Cold damage.
Strong Swimmer. Being in the water comes naturally to you. You gain a swim speed equal to half your movement speed.
