Legendary Warrior

Your weapon has always been an extension of your arm, or even your soul. Your armour feels as natural to you as a soft silk robe would to a pampered noble. It wasn't always that way. You had to work hard to get to where you are. It took countless afternoons, stretching on into evenings, of drills and practice. And now, ahh, to feel your blade slice cleanly through cloth and flesh. That satisfying crunch when your fist collides with bone. Whether you were a lone wolf, feared by anyone to cross your path, an inspiring leader, training the next generation of legionaries, or an master of martial arts, seeking enlightenment, you were well respected, looked up to for your combat expertise, your strength at arms, your battlefield prowess, or even just your raw brute ferocity. Those that could stand against you were few and far between.   You saw Suns-Set as an opportunity, whether to show off your own skill in the face of apocalypse, to inspire people to persevere, to do your part in making sure that as many as possible could survive, or simply to test yourself against all odds. The hordes of monsters released by the fractured land died in their multitudes before you. But even you are just one man. You can't fight the ending of the world. It seems that Dovradu is finally getting what he wants.   Well, you made it. And not just you. Whether you were just out to save your own skin or were instrumental to getting these people to safety, you have found yourself among this motley group. They are all survivors just like you, but the cost of survival seems to be high. The trip through the Maw to this new frontier they are calling Thora was costly. You could feel alien tendrils seeping into your mind. You fought them as best you could but after lurching through the other side of the portal, you found yourself feeling as inept as on your seventh name-day. The steel in your hand feels unfamiliar, and your armour is a heavy burden upon you. All those drills, all that training seems like a foggy memory. You stumble through your footwork, nearly falling on your face. This won't do. You have always strove for physical perfection and battle mastery and this little hiccup isn't about to stop you.
