Solaris -— a sapphic space opera
Creator of World of Worlds | Camp Chill | Comment Carolers
In Jovian mythology it is called the great fire, the harbinger of centuries of ash. Mercurians sing about a time the sun burned so bright it doubled in size. All of these stories are believed to refer to Sol Invictus; an event that predates history.
A compendium of the worldbuilding written for my upcoming webcomic. Solaris is a love letter to the wonder I felt looking up at the stars as a kid, and it reimagines our solar system as vivid and mysterious place with aliens galore.
It is not a world without danger. The stars are hostile, and the sun itself has laid siege on Mercury. Angelic armies have scorched the planet, and people fear what will happen should the defence at Penumbra fail.
