Community Suggestion: Mass Import Map Markers
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have a large list of towns to place on to my map (over 1000) from a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains the Lat/Long coordinates of each town, plus the name.It takes an incredibly long time to manually create each Marker - let alone then going through each Marker and updating the Latitude and Longitude.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
I'd love to just be able to mass import this spreadsheet, I realise I'd probably need to add a "Marker Icon" column to my spreadsheet.What are other uses for this feature request?
Mass creation of any highly detailed map.The Team's Response
Declined due to lack of support from the community. We will improve the map interface in the future, but we won't implement an importer of this kind due to the severe technical implications it could have.
