Linking the same article under multiple folders

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

    Multiple times I have run across situations where I would like to have the same article in two or more different locations. For instance if I have one folder where I keep tabs on different factions in my world, i may want the single article available in that folder, but if a faction is also relevant to a specific area I would like to have the article available in that countries folder as well.  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

  By having the ability to post a single article in multiple areas and folders I could better organize my world and make it easy to find specific information in multiple places.  

What are other uses for this feature request?

  This could also easily be used for many purposes, from detailed lore, to spells, abilities, weapons, armor and items of all variety that may have multiple listings on qualities or uses

Thanks for the suggestion! Categories can't work like this—they are meant to be one-to-many relationships, not many-to-many. But I appreciate the need of having this type of organization, which is why we have tags: https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/tags/tags.

    See Amancham's response. There are already several ways to create additional navigation structures. Linear navigation, related articles, tagged lists, indices, and more. Come chat in the worldanvil-design channel on Discord for ideas, suggestions, and examples.

    Adding articles to multiple categories (or folders) has been suggested several times in the past, and it was always declined. You can use tags and tagged lists to arrange articles in various overviews. The folders or categories, on the other hand, function more like folders on your computer.
