Session 3: The Fox Report

General Summary

Gammoranth and the Emperor hold jurisdiction in this area, acting as the Coast Guard. A requisitioned patrol ship is on its way, and they seek a War Mage and a sorcerer. The Bozaks, baaz, kapaks, and dreadnaught Scojira emphasize the importance of storing contraband in the Collection Chambers. Nyxek displays no fear of the Fox today.

Paragon Prophet gives Kal a fox pin and expresses suspicion that contraband isn't being destroyed. They request spyglasses, catapults, and ballista. Draxelas provides a spyglass, allowing them to see beyond the boundary. They spot a ship sailing past with other scalyfolk. Paragon Prophet gives Kal a map marking an island to the south with the word "contraband?" and mentions Sahuagin Za’ahol. The Sahuagin Champion was eaten for failure. Draxelas provides two claws, one possibly a sorcerer. All fear the Fox, but Kal has advantage on saves against fear.

Scojira offers them a ride on his back. Za’ahol tells them about the old sahuagin, and they enter a cave encountering various marine life: quipper swarms, a giant shark, and violet fungi. They face a giant from a long-standing race amidst broken ships he keeps as trophies. After a battle, they discover a clockwork sphere brimming with magical energy among the treasures.

In the aftermath, "The Fox" himself appears, revealing that their children and spouses are coming to the island to live with them. Nyxek gives Draxelas a javelin of lightning, and in exchange, he requests ballistae. Nyxek follows the Father.
