Episode 08: Return to the Zone Report

General Summary

On the way out of Razun, Thorim says we can get 1500 for the plasma rifle, double if we can fix it. So, we take it with us to try and repair.

Get Cumvel Coyilen and Shelseho Sossulhral as Earth dwarf passengers who also brought a Grag. Mr. C is a Thunder Specialist Artificer and works with Spark on a portable WAN speaker system.

Crew flies back to the zone, meets Moon Breeze the Ki-rin flying by. Nia calls to her, and she STOPS! Says she would be capable of replacing Nia's pact, but it would be tricky, and Nia has to convince her why she has value to the Ki-rin. Also, tells Lance he has a destiny, Spark should tell his grandfather hello for her, and helps Xeno remember that in his past life he was an adult female dwarf defender of Kirinal.

The crew than makes it to Gold Arrow Station where a group of witch hunters and bond hunters try to apprehend Nia and Spark respectively, but they crew kind of mixes them up and they occupy one another.

The crew meanwhile visits Lola Carly Magos Pamplona. Lola gives them Bibingka, promises more when the crew throws the greatest party ever, warns Nia messing with her patron is messing with fire and tells Xeno what little she knows about the ritual that makes the Soulforged.

Crew then makes delivery to The Tortoise, but can't go in yet because paperwork, but might have the parts needed for the plasma rifle. Party then meets Khuvior the Bronze, a war wizard of the Society of Eniam Tal who opposes the bond trade and can offer a patch that covers Sparks tracking bond mark.

Spark takes two, Khuvior tells Spark his grandfather is a local hero, and the group sneaks into goblin city despite Spark's horrible attempt to sound like a gnome.

They find Of the Goblins the Freedom on his deathbed who admits that he had been holding on just waiting for Spark to arrive. There is some confusion as Freedom explains that Spark was sent away because they thought he would be a blue, but the real blue was his baby cousin, Of the Hope the Way. Freedom also has the paperwork to free Spark from his bond mark. He then Yoda fades leaving behind the child.
