An Errand for Amalthea - Group 3, Part 2

After waiting in the Lizardfolk village center for a while, the Chieftain made his appearance. After a few introductory comments and exploratory questions of the party, he presented the message they were to take back to Amalthea - a written account of a report prepared by Lizardfolk scouts that had witnessed humans near the village of Spirit Lake capturing and caging sprites in the forest, then carrying them off. The party was invited to a feast (if you can call piles of raw meat and fish a feast) to - in the words of the chieftain - celebrate potential alliances.

In the morning, they set off to return to the Bugbear's Head Inn. A brief encounter with a small boggard war party was not too much of an obstacle for the party. It was profitable, in fact, as they acquired a weapon - a morningstar - etched with a rune of power. The rest of the trip back out of the Lizard Fens was uneventful.

Daphinia the Naiad was waiting for them as promised at the point in where the river entered the fens; she accompanied the party on the 5 day trip back along the river to the Inn. Once back at the Inn, Branwyne Pinnman thanked the party once more for their efforts. She said she would be arranging for Amalthea to come to receive the message and meet the party within a few days. In the meantime, the party was told they would have the use of one of the small cabins for a month as compensation for their efforts. (This includes meals, but not drinks in the tavern.)

And so, the party settled in to consider all they have learned since they joined together, and to wait for the appearance of Amalthea the Dryad.
