Melixie
Melixies, or Meadow Pixies, are a Nymph subspecies created by Berdea of the Alevar. They inhabit the meadows and plains of Cartyrion, tending to the wildflowers and other plants that grow wild. They can usually be seen darting among the flowers in search of nectar to satisfiy their insatiable desire for sweets, pollinating the blossoms as they go.

In appearance, it is very difficult to tell the difference between a forest Pixie and a Melixie, as both creatures are approximately the same size, have the same physical features, and have similar tastes in clothing. Those who are knowledgeable can tell the difference, however, by carefully observing the wings of the creature. Both Pixie and Melixie have wings that resemble those of a dragonfly, but the wings of the Melixie are more irridescent and reflect a rainbow of color, while those of the Pixie are more transparent.
Though all of the pixie-like nymphs enjoy the sweet nectar produced by the many flowers and plants of the world, the Melixie sweet-tooth is by far the most notable. The creatures use their ability to communicate with insects and spiders to exchange information with bees as to the best sources of nectar. They also seem to be able to convince bees to modify their hives somewhat in order to permit the Melixies to access honey without damaging the hive.
The penchant for sweets these creatures demonstrate is often taken to extremes. Given the opportunity, a Melixie will gorge itself on honey, raw or refined sugar, or sugar-based candy treats. A flurry of activity follows, during which the creature can move and perform at heightened speed for a short period of time. This is followed by a "crash", though, during which the creature suffers the symptoms of physical exhaustion.

Like Pixies, Melixies are capable of magically transforming common pollens into Pixie Dust. This powder has the ability to Charm other creatures who inhale it. The creatures use this as a defense weapon, hurling a handful of dust into the face of an opponent.
