Wyrdswyrth Spikeberry, Marquis of Tyrnabay, Lord of the Orclands March is a middle-aged Human member of Tyrnabay's noble class. An ambitious person, and an avid student of history, he is also the sole Patron of the Expedition to Uncover the Forgotten Academy of Magic. This expedition is portrayed as a great archaeological and historical research effort, but Spikeberry - and anyone who thinks about it for more than a few minutes - anticipates that many great, powerful, and expensive treasures might lay hidden in the lost Academy as well.
He enjoys the opulence that comes with being a relatively important noble, and like most others in the ruling class of Tyrnabay, isn't afraid to advertise his wealth and position with the clothing he wears and the lifestyle he leads. Even in the wilderness surroundings of the Expedition Base Camp, he surrounds himself with as much comfort as is practical while playing up the fact that he is "roughing it" along with everyone else in the camp.
Upon first meeting the Marquis, most will find him pleasant and likeable. It may take a bit of time to come to the conclusion that he, like many of his station, see commoners (and Adventurers) as tools to be employed in their rise to more power and wealth.

Wyrdswyrth Spikeberry is a middle-aged human noble, lord of the Orclands March in the Kingdom of Tyrnabay. He stands 6ft 1in (185cm) tall and weighs 183lb (83kg). His face shows a bit more weathering and age than might be expected since he does spend much time out of doors. He has no visible scars. His long, wavy hair is dark and shows no signs of gray. He sports facial hair shaped in a pointed goatee, with waxed curls at the edges of his long mustache. His hazel-colored eyes are clear and piercing.First Impression
