Those are fun but can be a bit difficult sometimes. They cover all sorts of things in a culture that bridge beliefs, language, and how a people view or explain the world. I have finished my submissions for #WAWA2026 after updating my world's theme (and recovering from a sprained knee after being a bit overzealous at the gym...definitely hurts as much as you can imagine. Hey, Everybody! Here we go with Issue 267!

How's the worldbuilding coming along? Projects humming well? Hope so! After January's rest and recover, it's time to dive back in , right? Me too! But, at least for me, it's wise to ease back in. If i don't, I'll overcommit and then panic! No one needs panic, right?

So, to help with that easing in, I thought I'd bring some nice, calming Geography this time! One of the bedrocks (...ok, I couldn't resist that one...) of worldbuilding. Language, and so much more revolve around how a culture and people see their local geography which in turn...shapes their culture! So hey, let's get started!

Hello everyone,

Many of you will noticed that I have changed the overall look of my world of Arktoria, and that everything may look off. I'm currently working on a visual change of my world, although this will be a ongoing process for now. I do have a look that I want to achieve that will likely involve a bit of CSS work on my end (....sigh).

So as of right now, there will be changes to the theme of my world here and there. The content itself I don't plan to change outside of several edits to a few articles I made earlier. I ask all followers and supporters to bear with me as I make these changes. Hopefully things will turn out as I envisioned.

Hello everyone,

Now that the #WorldEmber Awards Ceremony has passed, I can finally update my articles. And I do have some updates to make, along with some planned changes I intend to do. What are some of those changes?

The first being that I am working on a new background & world banner for my world of Arktoria to give it more of an original visual identity. I'll keep the current color scheme for now as I'm still tinkering with that in my mind. Once I finish making that changes, i"ll post a community update to inform my followers and the wider community.

The second is my plans to add more images to my articles overtime, although it will be in phases as I complete the artwork. I've already started doing with the relatively recent update I made to the Rogue profession which you can view below:

I will continue to do so with more and more images as I finish them.

That is all the current updates I have at the moment. I will be submitting entries for the 6th #WorldBuildingAwards contest as well. Updates on those entries will come later. Until them, have a great day!

Red Dragons Tong

I've been busily adding my cyberpunk noir science fiction world here on WA. The Red Dragons are the largest criminal syndicate on Chendiuria. Aditi "Adi" Nizhóní Peshlakai , my former Colonial Fleet Marine Myrmidon MC, has delt with the Red Dragons in the past.

I'm looking forward to WorldEmber 2025 and plan to focus on geography. I've got quite a list of articles I want to write.

I'm doing really well with NovelEmber. I am currently at 31,742 words, and I am contemplating perhaps increasing the challenge to 100k words if I can figure out how to do that on PWA.

For the foreseeable future, I am posting a chapter each Sunday. I am alternating between two stories set in my Augmented Valor world. One story features Adi and Shadows of Eros; the other story takes place about 70 years before Adi's time.

I didn't write anything for Spooktober. I am participating in NovNov, even though I have no intent at the moment to publish a book. My writing is not exactly setting the world on fire, but writing keeps me entertained. I started writing again, after a nearly 20 year break, at the suggestion of my VA therapist for post-service PTSD therapy.

Aditi "Adi" Nizhóní Peshlakai

Working on getting my world built on World Anvil. I've imagined this world for more than 30 years, long before I even knew what cyberpunk was.

I'm moving to World Anvil from Fictionary as the world building options here are significantly better, and it's a little cheaper each month.

My super augmented former Colonial Fleet Marine, Adi, and her story are still a work in progress.

Day 3 of Summer Camp: A dish served in every household.

SO! This was a tough one, as a foodie that is. I love food, I love food so much I cook it whenever I am not eating fast food and I am a picky taster. I have to spice and it I have to make sure everything is perfect.

So what the heck is Weissknochla? It's actually inspired by a dish I grew up on that my mother used to make, that she learned from her mother and so on. It's a traditional dish that I took have made numerous times, but I, of course, have overcomplicated the heck out of.

So I decided to make it last night, but dumbed down and simplified to fit in my world of Belle Epoque wonderment and I would hope that I did so with this.

I don't want to share the actual name because I am sure many people will claim I just copied the recipe off some online site instead of making my own - I know how you are, internet!

But this is a nice, warm stew. Thick, creamy, chickeny...

Summer Camp is almost here! Sort of. How is everyone? Summer Camp homework shaping up? Prep looks like it's coming along nicely. So, have you figured out how you're going to tackle summer camp? At least for me, pacing for Summer Camp means a lot. For me? I tend to go "Chill". Take my time. Quality over quantity as the saying goes. But it's an important personal choice!

Hey, Everybody! Here we go with Issue 227!

So, we're getting into March! How are your projects coming along? Getting some good writing or game design nailed down? Hope so! How about Worldbuilding Con? Looking forward to it? I know I am! I'll try and jump in where I can to enjoy the con. Last year was pretty fun.

Speaking of fun, this time, I've got a good mix of Titles, Settlements, Ethnicities and a Document! In case you need inspiration for what you're working on, or... in case you'd like to give this a try!
