It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 3d4 necrotic damage, and you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt. You lose any temporary hit points granted by this spell after 1 minute.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 for each slot level above 1st.
