Slightly better armed, armoured, and practiced than a common mob, the levy is the basic measure of defense an organised village or town might possess. Though not especially threatening, even a small village may be able to field a half-dozen levies when a call to arms is made. | |

Special Abilities | Form Up [1 action]: Bestiary 3, pg. 305. Loose! [2 actions]: The levy uses their shortbows and slings to launch a coordinated ranged attack in the form of a volley. This volley is a 10-foot burst within 60 feet that deals 2d6+2 bludgeoning and piercing damage (DC 17 basic Reflex save). When the levy is reduced to 8 squares or fewer, this area decreases to a 5-foot burst. Thrust! [1 to 3 actions; frequency: once per round]: The levy makes a coordinated melee attack with their long spears and billhooks against each enemy within 10 feet, with a DC 17 basic Reflex save. The damage depends on the number of actions. 1 action: 1d8+2 piercing and slashing damage; 2 actions: 1d8+6 piercing and slashing damage; 3 actions: 1d8+8 piercing and slashing damage. Troop Movement: Whenever the levy Strides, it first Forms Up as a free action to condense into a 20-foot-by-20-foot area (minus any missing squares), then moves up to its speed. This works just like a Gargantuan creature moving; for instance, if any square of the levy enters difficult terrain, the extra movement cost applies to the whole levy. |
