You gain the following benefits. Trusted Companion. Choose a small or tiny Beast as your animal companion. You can give your companion simple commands that it will carry out to the best of their ability. The companion does not participate in combat. Watchful Presence. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect dangers. Shared Courage. You have advantage on saving throws to prevent the Frightened condition.
