- Loading. As an item interaction, you can twist of the mechanism in the hammer's haft, unlocking the rails and cause the two sides of the hammer head to drive together, and smash into the Spark, when striking a target. A Spark can withstand this force twice before it shatters, and an action is needed to reload a Spark into the center.
- Dark Star. Channeling the Spark's destructive force through the striking surface, the target takes an extra 1d8 radiant damage, and an extra 1d8 necrotic damage. If both d8 roll the same number, a flash of corrupted luminance sears into your target, and neither you nor the target can regain hit points or have their maximum hit points reduced until the end of your next turn.
This warhammer was fashioned with a gap between the two hammer heads, and a set of rails connecting them. A Spark can be place within the empty space, where it will be suspended like a tiny, dark star. The striking surface is marred with soot, further blackening the dark steel. The haft is made of ivory and ebony wood braided together, and smoothed out, wrapped with rich leather.
