Description

Handed out by the Wizard and Mage Guild of Neverwinter, this scroll honors those who pursue knowledge with unyielding perseverance. Though the Guild can produce dozens daily, receiving one as a non‐member is considered a significant mark of distinction.

Looks

A narrow parchment scroll tied with a silky red ribbon. Its text congratulates the bearer on their dedication, signed by the Guildmaster. Below the inscription is a finely drawn magic circle, inlaid with a single rune that glows faintly purple.

Usage

To use, hold the scroll in both hands and read the oath aloud: “With this gift, I will follow my pursuit of knowledge.”

When you finish speaking, the rune flares brightly, then fades away. For the next 10 minutes, you gain advantage on all Intelligence and Wisdom ability checks as a fragment of the Guildmaster’s insight, wisdom and knowledge fills your mind.

Once used, the magical glow never returns—but the scroll remains a treasured token of achievement.
