  • Feint - Make a shimmering motion with the sabre in your main hand against an opponent in melee range as a Bonus Action to goad them into attacking more predictably. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Dexterity modifier or be fooled. If the target has failed their saving throw, when the target next attempts to attack you, you will automatically succeed on a Parry without needing to spend your Reaction.
  • Guard Stance - After making an attack and while in melee range of only one opponent, raise your sabre with the tip pointed down and your hand raised high as a Bonus Action. Your chosen opponent has Disadvantage on their melee attacks against you, you have Advantage on your parries, don't need to spend your reaction to Parry, but you cannot Riposte, until the start of your next turn. Once you have used this maneuver, you may not use it again until after your next turn.
  • Lunging Thrust - Step forward 5 feet to make an attack against an opponent within 10 feet of you and return to where you were standing without using movement or provoking opportunity attacks. This deals AP IV Piercing damage instead of Slashing damage. This maneuver can be performed once per turn.
  • Parry - When an opponent attempts to attack you in Melee range, you may use this weapon to attempt to intercept the attack by using your Reaction. Make an attack roll against the target, if your attack roll beats theirs, you Parry the attack and deflect the blow.
  • Riposte - On a successful Parry, you may attempt attack the target that attacked you by using your sabre.

  • Hemorrhaging - Targets struck by this weapon must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Strength or Dexterity Modifier (whichever is higher) or take 1d8 Bleed damage.
  • Protected Handguard - This weapon features a basket hilt designed to protect the hand and prevents disarmament.
  •   Handling: 1-handed

A specialized duelist's weapon, this design is less like a light cavalry sabre and closer to a rapier in its design. It features a basket guard meant to fully enclose the hand and prevent disarmament. It is meant to be wielded in such a way that the offhand is used for balance or for wielding a small metal buckler. It was adopted for sportsmanship after the Great War among various martial arts circles. The Verdoyant, prior to the Great War, trained their soldiers to be at the very least effective with these weapons. The dueling sabre is built for making both slashing and thrusting attacks very rapidly.
